More Capitalist Steampunk Sky-Mining Dwarfs
A small purchase, but one that immediately got us talking.
end3r dropped a photo of a fresh Kharadron Overlords pickup into the chat and the reaction was instant: pure hype. Honestly, we get it. There is just something deeply charming about capitalist, steampunk, mining, sky-faring dwarfs that hits exactly the right Warhammer nerve.
From the look of it, this little haul opens up some fun options. The plan is not to lock it into one thing only — end3r mentioned that it is mainly for Warcry combinations, but it should also be useful for Battle. And honestly, that is one of our favorite kinds of hobby purchases: something that sparks list-building ideas in one system while still being handy in another.
That immediately pushed the conversation toward the important stuff: when are we playing, and what are we bringing? The excitement level rose very quickly. michalbe was already at the stage of not being able to wait for the next game, and the classic pre-game dilemma showed up right away: Skaven, or the new protégés?
We may not have solved that question yet, but one declaration was absolutely clear:
everybody will be painted.
And really, that is the energy we want to carry into the year. New models, cross-system experimenting, too many ideas at once, and the determination to put fully painted warbands and armies on the table.
So yes — more sky-dwarfs. More weird list ideas. More games soon, hopefully. We are very much here for it.
