First Test of the “Space Tank” – and One Very Stubborn Arkanaut
We’re starting
This one was a proper quick-fire battle report straight from the table. Michał kicked things off with the immortal words: “We’re starting” — and more importantly, this was the day of the first tests of the Space Tank.

And yes, the first reaction in chat was basically: that thing is huge. Which, honestly, feels like the correct response.

The table itself also sparked the usual hobby side-discussion. After seeing yet another battlefield backdrop that looked more like a poster than proper scenery, Dubry declared that at this rate he might just build us a diorama himself. We fully support this energy.

Turn two: things get serious
By the second turn, the game had already delivered one of those moments that instantly becomes the headline of the day: the daemons took down the dwarfs’ general.
That’s the kind of swing that changes the whole mood around the table. Early turns are supposed to be probing, setting up, maybe trading a unit or two. Instead, we got a major character getting dragged off in turn two.

Hero of the match: the poor Arkanaut
Then came our favourite moment of the game.
At one point, 10 Clanrats surrounded a lone Arkanaut and threw 20 attacks into him. On paper, that sounds like the end of the story. Tiny heroic last stand, remove model, move on.
Except no.
The little legend saved all but one.

For one glorious moment, he nearly turned into the kind of model that gets talked about for months. Unfortunately, he only had 1 health left, so that single failed save still meant the end.
Still — what a way to go.

And then… he came back
Because apparently the day wasn’t done being ridiculous, the dead troublemaker came back.
Michał’s summary was perfect: “The bastard resurrected. I think he likes this.”
That really says everything about the tone of the game. Big centerpiece toys, dramatic swings, one absurdly durable dwarf, and then resurrection on top of that. Exactly the kind of nonsense we want from a casual Warhammer day.

Final thoughts
This wasn’t a long, formal report with every score and activation tracked. It was one of those better hobby days: a live stream of table drama, reactions from the chat, and several moments that were instantly funnier because everyone was watching them unfold in real time.
The main takeaway? The Space Tank has officially hit the table, and the test game already gave us:
- a huge first impression,
- a dead general in turn two,
- an Arkanaut making a heroic stand against impossible odds,
- and a resurrection because of course there was one.
We’ll absolutely take more games like this.
And Dubry — yes, we’re still waiting for that diorama.
