New Kharadron Overlords Box on the Table
Michał dropped a couple of photos on our chat and, well, that was enough to kick off the usual round of hype and friendly threats. A new Kharadron Overlords set has arrived, and on top of that there was also a Battletome passed along to Staś.
From the look of it, this is exactly the kind of purchase that immediately makes us start planning games before anything is even clipped from the sprue. New toys on one side, immediate counter-plans on the other.
And of course Ender was quick to respond in the only proper way: by asking where the archers are, because he’d be very happy to test their armor against his artillery. That’s the spirit. No warm welcome, no gentle introduction to the collection — just straight to field testing.
The second part of the banter was even better: the vision of a boss hero charging a Frigate… only for the ship to calmly fly off into the distance. Very Kharadron. Very annoying for everyone on the ground. Exactly the sort of thing that makes us want to get these models on the table as soon as possible.
So for now this is a classic hobby milestone: new box acquired, battletome secured, trash talk already underway. Honestly, that’s half the fun.
Now we just need to see when these airborne dwarfs make their first proper appearance in a game — and whether Ender’s artillery gets its chance to prove a point.
