Leoben Championships and 180 Clanrats on the Table

We love it when somebody drops a list into chat and our first reaction is basically: this is either madness or genius. In this case, it was definitely both.

Michał shared a Skaven list for the championships in Leoben and the headline number says everything: 180 Clanrats. That is the kind of army concept that immediately makes us stop scrolling and start counting movement trays in our heads.

There is just something deeply satisfying about a list that fully commits to the bit. No pretending, no half-measures, just a wall of rats and the confidence to bring it to a serious event. Whether you look at it as a proper competitive puzzle, a psychological weapon, or simply a glorious act of hobby excess, we have to respect the dedication.

Skaven list for the Leoben championships

From the screenshots Michał posted, this was clearly one of those lists that makes an impression before the first dice are even rolled. Opponents do not just need a plan for killing things — they need a plan for dealing with that many bodies. And for us, that is always part of the charm of mass infantry armies in Warhammer: The Old World: board control, pressure, target saturation, and the pure visual spectacle of ranked-up regiments covering the battlefield.

Then came more photos, and honestly, they only made the whole thing better.

More from the championships in Leoben

We are not going to pretend we got the full battle report here, because the chat gave us exactly what we needed: the core idea, the event, and the absurdly good headline. Sometimes that is enough for a hobby post. A championship in Leoben. A Skaven army. 180 Clanrats. Perfect.

It is also the kind of thing that reminds us why event weekends are so fun. Even if you do not know every matchup or every turn-by-turn detail, lists like this become instant conversation starters. They are memorable. They make people laugh, worry, and take photos. And really, if your army can do all three before round one is over, you are already winning in at least one category.

So yes, we absolutely had to save this one for the blog. Massive respect for bringing such a wonderfully committed rat tide to the championships.

If nothing else, it answers one very important question:

How many Clanrats is enough Clanrats?

Apparently not 100. Not 150.

180.
