New Blood for Our AoS Group and a Verminlord on the Painting Desk

We had a small but very welcome Age of Sigmar update in our chat recently, and it is exactly the kind of hobby momentum we love seeing.

First of all: our group is growing. Michał added Przemek to the channel, and we are very happy about that, because he is clearly hungry for some proper nerdy action. Even better, he is joining us for Age of Sigmar, which always means new armies, new matchups, and new excuses to talk hobby way too late in the evening.

Przemek is planning to start with Spearhead: Blades of Khorne, and honestly, that sounds like a very strong way to enter the game. There is something beautifully straightforward about Khorne as a first step into AoS: aggressive, iconic, and full of attitude. A few days into the conversation, the plan became even more real when he said he is ordering the Blades of Khorne Spearhead next week.

So yes — another project is about to land in the group, and we are absolutely here for it.

Verminlord incoming

At the same time, Michał is not slowing down on the hobby side either. He primed a Verminlord and is planning to start painting it as soon as he finds a bit of time. That is already exciting on its own, but the best part is that this particular rat daemon is meant to become the general in the next league game.

That gives the whole project a nice extra bit of energy. It is not just “something cool to paint” — it is a centerpiece model with a job to do.

Primed Verminlord ready for paint

There is always something satisfying about this stage of a big model. Once the primer is on, it suddenly stops being a future plan and starts being a real project. Now it is just waiting for the first proper painting session.

More players, more motivation

We really like these moments in the hobby. One person is starting a new army, another is getting a centerpiece ready for the table, and the whole group gets a little boost from it. That is one of the best things about playing in a regular circle: even someone else’s project can give us motivation to move our own miniatures forward.

So at the moment our AoS corner looks very healthy:

  • Przemek is joining the group
  • Blades of Khorne Spearhead is on the way
  • Michał has a Verminlord primed and lined up for painting
  • and the next league game already has a future general waiting in the wings

We will definitely be keeping an eye on both projects. With a bit of luck, we will soon have some painted Khorne on the table and one very nasty Verminlord leading the charge in league play.

That is exactly the kind of progress we like to see.
