The Core of Today’s Army
Painting progress, even if not everything made it
Some hobby updates are especially satisfying because they feel honest: not a perfect finish line, not a fully completed force, just solid progress on the part of the army that really matters on the table. That was exactly the mood this time.
Michał shared the core of his army for today’s games and, even though he didn’t manage to get everything painted, the overall feeling was still very positive. Weekend life got in the way a bit, as it usually does, but the important part is that a substantial chunk of the force was ready — and ready looking good.

Honestly, we know this feeling very well. Sometimes the plan is to finish everything, and then reality reminds us that weekends are also full of other events, obligations, and random chaos. But getting the backbone of an army painted is still a win, and a pretty big one at that.
And then there was that one model.
You know the type: the miniature that instantly steals attention and makes the whole group react. Michał dropped a close-up and the review was immediate and extremely professional: absolute beast.

Stas summed it up in the only way really needed: haha.
That’s kind of the perfect hobby moment, honestly. A bit of pressure, a bit of not-quite-finished guilt, then a look at what did get done — and suddenly it’s all worth it. Especially when one of the minis comes out looking like a complete champion.
So this one is for all the almost-finished armies, all the pre-game painting sprints, and all the models that carry the whole vibe of a force even before the last units are done. Not everything had to be finished for this to feel like a success.
Sometimes the core is enough.
