Spearhead League Starts Soon at Xjoy Białołęka
We spotted a nice local event announcement that should be interesting for Age of Sigmar players in Warsaw and nearby: next week the Spearhead league starts at Xjoy in Białołęka.
From what we’ve seen, there’s already a lot of interest in the Spearhead format, which honestly is great to hear. It’s always cool when a smaller, more approachable format starts pulling people in and getting tables filled quickly.
Alongside the Spearhead league, 1,000-point and 2,000-point leagues are also kicking off, so there should be something for players at a few different levels of commitment and army size. That kind of spread is a big plus — whether someone wants a faster entry point or full-size games, there’s a place to jump in.
The only downside? For some of us, Białołęka feels like the end of the world logistics-wise. Classic Warsaw problem: a great event appears, and suddenly the real campaign begins on public transport and ring roads.
Still, it’s really nice to see more organized play happening, and especially to see Spearhead getting this much attention. We’re very curious how the league turns out and whether this format keeps building momentum locally.
