Stachu Teaching Patryk the Rules
Sometimes the hobby is all about painting marathons, big games, or finally finishing a long-delayed unit. And sometimes it is simply about sitting down at the table and helping someone get into the game.
This time, Michał dropped a few photos from a session where Stachu was teaching Patryk the rules. That is always one of our favourite parts of the hobby: the moment when someone starts connecting the dots, asks the first tactical questions, and the game stops being just miniatures on a table and starts becoming their game.

From the photos, it looks like a proper relaxed learning game — models on the table, rules being explained step by step, and no pressure beyond understanding what does what. Honestly, that is probably the best way to start. A teaching game does not need to be fast or ultra-competitive. It just needs to be clear, fun, and welcoming.

The best thing about sessions like this is that they build confidence. The first game is always a mix of excitement and confusion: remembering phases, checking distances, figuring out what matters now and what can wait until later. Having somebody patient on the other side of the table makes a huge difference.
And, of course, we love seeing these little hobby moments captured in photos. Not every post needs to be a tournament report or a giant project update. Sometimes a few snapshots from a learning game say everything that needs saying.

Big thanks to Michał for sharing the pictures — and to Stachu for passing the knowledge on. We hope Patryk caught the bug properly, because that is exactly how it starts: one game, a handful of rules, and suddenly you are thinking about your next army, your next list, and your next match.
That is the good stuff.
