New Khorne, New Kharadron, and One Wildly Expensive Be’lakor
A very dangerous kind of scrolling
Sometimes a hobby purchase starts with a plan. And sometimes it starts with someone dropping a link into chat and the rest of us immediately falling into the rabbit hole.
That was very much the second kind.
Michał threw a Facebook group link at Pegie, who at that point was still waiting for approval to even get inside. A moment later we already had the first serious temptation on the table: a heavily painted Be’lakor. Which, to be fair, sounded impressive right away.
The problem? The seller wanted 2500 PLN just for that Be’lakor.
And that was the moment the mood shifted from “oh, nice” to “what on earth is this pricing?”.
The real kicker: a mountain of Khorne
As if that wasn’t enough, Michał noticed that the same seller apparently had something like 5k of Khorne up for sale. That is the kind of listing that immediately makes us stop and think. Not always in a healthy way.
Big second-hand lots are always dangerous. On one hand, they can be a great shortcut into an army. On the other, they can also be a shortcut into owning far more plastic than we can realistically paint before the next shiny release appears.
And, well… speaking of shiny releases.
The new stuff is already landing
On the same day, we spotted that 2d6 already had the new Khorne and the new Kharadron Overlords in stock.
That felt fast. Really fast.

Our immediate reaction was basically equal parts excitement and hobby panic.
Because of course this is how it goes: before one box even arrives, another one is already waiting in line. Ender summed it up perfectly — Kill Team still hasn’t arrived yet, and Kharadron Overlords are already calling. A classic Warhammer problem.
The pile of opportunity grows
There was also that very familiar hobby realization: we are never going to paint all of this, are we?
That may be slightly dramatic, but only slightly.
New Kharadron, new Khorne, second-hand temptations, premium-priced centerpiece models… this is exactly the kind of moment where the backlog quietly grows while we tell ourselves that this next purchase is definitely sensible.
It probably isn’t. But it is exciting.
One small detail we noticed
Among the release hype, one thing caught our eye: the Kharadron Overlords seem to have a different faction logo now.
It’s a tiny thing, but those small visual changes are always interesting. New branding, refreshed packaging, updated identity — it all adds to that feeling that a range is moving forward, even before we’ve had time to properly process the models themselves.
Final thoughts
So this was one of those very normal hobby days where:
- somebody found a suspiciously tempting sales post,
- Be’lakor turned out to be priced like a family holiday,
- a huge Khorne lot appeared on the horizon,
- and fresh releases showed up in stores before we were emotionally prepared.
In other words: business as usual.
Now we just need to decide whether we are actually buying anything, or just professionally observing the market while our unpainted boxes continue to judge us from the shelf.
