Battle Report: 38–37 and the Fastest 8 Points We’ve Ever Seen

Sometimes a battle report is all about epic charges, heroic last stands, and impossible dice. And sometimes it is about one glorious question:

How do you score 8 points in 0 minutes?

This game gave us exactly that.

From now on, we are officially big fans of writing down turn times during a game. It instantly makes the round feel more alive, and honestly, it adds a lot of character to the report afterwards. You can really see the pace of the game, where things slowed down, and where the table suddenly accelerated into chaos.

The key moment: the double turn

As Michał noted during the game, Andrzej got the double turn starting at 14:04. That already tells you a lot about the rhythm of the battle: momentum mattered, and the pressure clearly shifted at exactly the kind of moment that makes these games memorable.

We do not have the full blow-by-blow from every activation, but we do have the scoring and the timing — and that alone paints a pretty fun picture.

Round by round

Round 2

  • Andrzej: 8 points (41 min)
  • Michał: 18 points (22 min)

A huge swing for Michał here, both in points and in tempo. Andrzej still put 8 on the board, but needing 41 minutes for the turn compared to Michał’s 22 suggests this was one of those rounds where every decision mattered and every move had to be measured carefully.

Round 3

  • Andrzej: 8 points (31 min)
  • Michał: 10 points (17 min)

Round 3 looked closer. Michał stayed ahead on points, but Andrzej kept scoring steadily. At this stage, it feels like one of those games where nobody is really out of it — both sides are still finding ways to keep the scoreboard moving.

Round 4

  • Michał: 5 points (6 min)
  • Andrzej: 8 points (0 min)

And here we arrive at the legendary entry.

Andrzej: 8 points in 0 minutes.

Naturally, this triggered the best possible live commentary:

How do you score 8 points in 0 minutes?

The answer, as Michał explained later:

He had zero units, but he controlled 2 objectives.

Perfect. No notes. This is exactly the kind of endgame nonsense we love.

Final score

  • Andrzej: 13 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 37
  • Michał: 5 + 18 + 10 + 5 = 38

A 38–37 finish.

That is about as close as it gets.

Why we loved this one

Even with only partial notes, this game has everything we want from a club battle report:

  • a one-point final difference
  • a double turn that changed the feel of the game
  • turn timing that made the report more dynamic
  • and an absurdly funny scoring situation right at the end

Also, we are absolutely stealing this format for future reports. Writing down both points scored and time spent on the turn is just too good. It gives the game a pulse.

The lesson from this battle

Score until the very end.

Apparently even if you have zero units, the game may still have one last joke left to tell.

Suggested photo ideas:

  • A scoreboard or notebook page with round-by-round points and turn times
  • A shot of the objectives at the end of the game
  • A “0 min / 8 points” close-up if anyone captured the score sheet
