A Tiny Goblin Treasure Hunt: Sneaky Gits and Skulker Proxies

We love these little hobby moments when one photo in chat turns into a miniature archaeology session.

Stas dropped a picture into the conversation and asked the dangerous question: “These?”

Old goblin miniatures reference

Michał immediately recognized them: these were the original Sneaky Gits, a unit that has been unavailable for around 20 years. That is exactly the kind of discovery that makes old-school greenskin collectors light up.

But this was not just a nostalgia post. Michał also mentioned that he had picked up Nasty Skulkers as proxies. Honestly, that feels like a very relatable Warhammer purchase: tracking down the exact old models can be a quest in itself, so finding a good stand-in is often the smarter and more achievable route.

There is something especially fun about this corner of the hobby. Old goblin ranges have so much character, and even when the original miniatures are long gone from regular circulation, the vibe can still be kept alive with a well-chosen proxy.

So this one goes into the hobby log as a neat little purchase + identification moment:

  • one spotted image in chat,
  • one bit of classic miniature lore,
  • and one practical pickup in the form of Nasty Skulkers.

Very goblin. Very sneaky. Very on brand.

If Michał gets them painted or puts them on the table, we will definitely want to come back to the topic.
