A Stunning Archaon We Couldn’t Stop Looking At
We had one of those classic hobby-chat moments recently: someone drops photos into the group and suddenly everything stops for a minute.
Michał shared pictures of a beautifully painted Archaon, and our first reaction was basically the same as Ender’s: wow. The paintjob really did all the talking here — this is the kind of centerpiece model that immediately grabs attention.
According to Michał, the seller wanted 9000 PLN for it. Which is… a lot. But at the same time, this is also a huge model, and with a paintjob at this level, it’s easy to see why it sparked a reaction.
Sometimes hobby purchases are practical, and sometimes they are pure admiration from a distance. This one definitely landed in the second category for us. Even if it stays firmly in the “nice to look at” bracket, it was absolutely worth sharing just for the inspiration.
The kind of model that makes you pause
Big Warhammer centerpiece miniatures always have a special place in the hobby. When they are painted this well, they stop being just gaming pieces and start feeling more like full display projects.
In this case, what caught our eye first was simply the overall impression: scale, presence, and a paintjob that made the whole thing feel properly epic.

Hobby inspiration, even without buying
Not every post in the purchase category has to end with someone actually opening their wallet. Sometimes the fun is just in spotting something impressive, sharing it with the group, and appreciating the work that went into it.
And honestly, that’s a big part of the hobby too.
If nothing else, this Archaon gave us a reminder of how incredible a large Age of Sigmar model can look when someone really goes all in on the painting.
