All in Black, and Tournament Plans on the Horizon
We had one of those short hobby exchanges that instantly gets everyone in the mood to play more.
Michał was clearly hyped right from the start — “Super Endriu”, “Czad” — and honestly, we get it. A good hobby reveal, even a small one, is sometimes enough to kick off a whole chain of ideas.
A bit later, Endriu dropped in with a photo and the perfect caption: “here I am too, all in black.”

There is something very satisfying about a force, model, or painting stage that leans fully into a strong visual theme. In this case, the all-black look immediately caught attention and got an enthusiastic reaction from the rest of us.
But the hobby chat did not stop at admiring the look of things. Endriu also reminded us that on March 14 there is a tournament at MGC, and that means one thing: it is time to train before the Polish Championships in April.
That is exactly the kind of sentence that flips the switch in our heads. Suddenly it is not just about painting, showing off a cool photo, or joking around on chat — it is about getting games in, testing lists, and finding out what actually works on the table.
Michał immediately admitted that this gave him a real appetite for playing too, especially for a smaller event in the 500–750 point range. And honestly, we feel that. There is something really appealing about compact tournaments: they are easier to fit into a day, easier to prepare for, and often a great excuse to just get models on the table without the overhead of a full-scale event.
So right now the mood in the group is pretty clear:
- cool hobby work shown off in chat,
- tournament motivation activated,
- and a growing urge to get some practice games in.
March is getting closer, and April is lurking just behind it, so we should probably stop just talking about training and actually schedule some games.
Because that is how it usually starts: one photo, a couple of excited messages, and suddenly we are all thinking about tournaments again.
What is next?
If all goes well, the next step is obvious — practice. Whether that means preparing for the MGC event, building momentum before the Polish Championships, or just sneaking in a smaller 500–750 point game, the important part is the same: play more Warhammer.
And yes, Endriu being all in black was definitely a strong opening move.
