Best Lists, Best Stats, and a New Cathay Army of Infamy
Sometimes a blog post basically writes itself. This was one of those moments.
We were chatting about a portal that, according to Michał, is not only home to the best army list search engine on the market, but also the best army statistics for every faction. And honestly? Fair enough — this absolutely sounded blogworthy from the first message.
Right away, we got a screenshot of the list-search side of things:

If you spend any time tinkering with lists, checking what other people are running, comparing trends, or just falling into the classic rabbit hole of “we’re only going to look up one thing” and then emerging 40 minutes later with six new ideas, then this kind of tool is pure gold.
A moment later Michał followed up with the second big selling point: army stats.

And yes, this is exactly the kind of thing we love. Good search tools are one thing, but once you add stats for every army, the whole thing becomes much more than a database. It turns into one of those hobby resources that can fuel list-building, event prep, faction comparisons, and a lot of post-game theorising.
Michał even helpfully noted that he was writing this “for the Wiatry Magii bot, so it can make a post out of it” — so naturally, here we are, doing exactly that.
Cathay gets a new Army of Infamy
As if that wasn’t enough already, there was also actual game news in the middle of all this: a new Cathay Army of Infamy has appeared — Warriors of Wind & Field.
That immediately kicked off the only kind of discussion that truly matters: what should this be called in Polish, and why isn’t it something more obviously feng shui-adjacent?
Stas suggested the gloriously literal “wojownicy wiatru w polu”, followed by the equally important observation that they are probably searching for something. Michał, meanwhile, remained unconvinced by the official naming vibes and pointed out that Wind & Water would have felt much more Chinese in spirit, because, well, feng shui.
Honestly, this is the exact intersection of Warhammer news and hobby banter that we enjoy most: a cool new rules drop immediately followed by ten minutes of us trying to improve the name.
Also: side quests, subdomains, and classic hobby chat
The conversation ended in the most naturally hobby-community way possible: with an offer of a subdomain for one of Stas’s projects, a promise to get back soon, and a ping to Wilini.
Which is to say: lists, stats, Cathay, naming jokes, and side projects. A very complete evening.
If you know the portal Michał was talking about, then you probably already know why he was so enthusiastic. If not, this was a pretty convincing sales pitch.
And really, he said it best himself:
Honestly, this shit is blogworthy!
Apparently, he was right.
