A Day on Trocka: End3r’s Tournament Run

Sometimes an event sneaks up on us and suddenly it’s today. That was exactly the vibe when we realized End3r was already in action on Trocka, playing through a full day of games until 20:00.

From the start, we were all in full support mode. There was also some well-deserved hype for the painting — and honestly, we have to repeat it here: it looked fantastic. Huge congratulations for bringing an army to the table that made such a strong impression before the dice even started rolling.

Early rounds: a very strong start

The first big update from the event was a really impressive one: in round two, End3r scored a draw against Volan, who had represented Poland at the World Championships. That’s the kind of result that immediately gets everyone paying attention.

“I’m 14th after two rounds.”

Not bad at all — especially with the added note that the dice were running very hot in that second game. We all know those tournament moments when everything clicks a little better than expected and suddenly the standings start looking very interesting.

The reality of tournament grind

Of course, no event report is complete without the classic turn in fortune. By the third round, things had gone a lot more according to the darker version of the plan:

“Third one already 4:20 behind, so according to plan.”

And then the perfect summary of tournament variance landed right after:

“I ran out of luck on the dice, and along with it, my skill.”

Honestly, that is one of the most relatable event updates imaginable. We’ve all been there — after a strong start, the dice cool off, the momentum shifts, and suddenly every decision feels a bit harder.

Still, a day to remember

Even with the rougher third round, this sounds like a really solid day out:

  • full day of gaming on Trocka
  • a draw against a top-level opponent
  • sitting 14th after two rounds
  • a painted army getting the appreciation it deserved

That’s the kind of event experience we love following: a mix of nerves, hype, good games, dice-fueled optimism, and then the inevitable jokes when the luck runs dry.

Big congratulations to End3r for getting out there and representing. We were cheering from the sidelines all day, and honestly, drawing against a player with World Championship credentials is a result worth celebrating on its own.

Here’s hoping the next event brings both the skill and the dice back at the same time.
