First Round of the 2d6 Kill Team League: Angels of Death on the Horizon

Next week, end3r is kicking off his first round of the Kill Team league at 2d6 — and the draw immediately delivered a very specific kind of emotional response: he got matched into Angels of Death.

Apparently not just any Angels of Death, either. The opposing team looks like this:

The first reaction was absolutely hobby-brained and completely understandable: before deployment even starts, there is apparently a real chance that end3r will ask the opponent whether they might want to sell the team instead. Priorities.

There was also a secondary plan involving determining whether the whole thing is suspiciously AI-generated, with final verification scheduled for 13.05. We are, of course, very curious what the verdict will be once the teams actually meet across the table.

At this point, michalbe helpfully reminded everyone of the most important competitive principle:

move your own models, not his :)

Honestly, solid league advice.

So that is one of the first little stories from this league run: admiration, temptation, mild suspicion, and the promise of a proper tabletop reality check in a few days. We will definitely want to hear how the game goes — both in terms of the match itself and whether the opponent survives the pre-game buyout attempt.
