Warhammer Open Krakow 2026? That Escalated Quickly
We had one of those little hobby-news moments that immediately snowballs into group chat chaos.
On 4 June, end3r dropped the news that the first official Warhammer Open in Poland is probably happening in Krakow — and the timing could not have been more cursed for him personally.
“Come on, what is this, they didn’t consult me that the 13th is the js13kGames deadline.”
“And they picked the worst possible date in the whole year.”
So yes: excitement, disbelief, and immediate calendar pain all at once. Very on brand.
What made it even better was the extra bit of community drama: according to end3r, there was already big movement in Northhammer because the event is not in Warsaw. Which, honestly, is exactly the kind of local-meta reaction we love to see. If something important happens in Polish Warhammer, apparently the city choice is going to be part of the story too.
At this stage we only had the event page to go by, but even that alone is a pretty big deal. An official Open on home soil is the kind of thing that instantly gets us thinking about who could go, what systems might be played, and whether we’re looking at a one-off curiosity or the beginning of a bigger Games Workshop event presence in Poland.
For now, this is less of a battle report and more of a we-have-seen-the-signal post. We’re excited, we’re amused by the timing, and we’re very curious how this one develops.
If this really is the first official Warhammer Open in Poland, then that’s a genuinely cool milestone — even if end3r would have preferred literally any date other than that one.
