Celestian Insidiants on Our Radar
We had one of those very relatable hobby conversations this week: yes, that Kill Team looks amazing, but first we really should paint and build the pile of shame a bit more before buying another box.
This time the topic was the Celestian Insidiants for Kill Team, and honestly, the hype is real.
Wilini dropped the classic declaration that this is the Kill Team he’s going to buy when it comes out. Then End3r immediately jumped in with the correction every local meta player loves to make: they’ve already been around for a few months, and apparently they’re not just around — they’re seriously strong. Strong enough that End3r already got properly beaten by them at the Championships, which is probably the most convincing recommendation a team can get.
Michał pointed out the thing that confused us too: they didn’t really have their own standalone box at first and were available in a bigger set. That explains why they felt a bit like one of those releases you hear about, see in lists, get smashed by on the table… and then can’t easily find when you actually decide you want them.
Still, once Wilini gets through a bit more of the backlog, the plan sounds pretty clear: buy them, build them, and get them on the table. And from our side, End3r is already volunteering for games, especially because they seem to be doing very well in the current meta.
What really pushed the conversation from “interesting team” into “okay, maybe we should pay attention” territory was the note that a player won the Polish Championships with them. That’s the kind of result that makes us stop and look twice at a faction.

So right now this one sits in that very dangerous hobby category of “not bought yet, but mentally already on the shelf.” We know how this usually ends.
And honestly? If a team looks cool, has Adepta Sororitas flavor, and is strong enough to win major events, it’s going to be very hard to resist once the current painting queue shrinks even a little.
We’ll see how long that self-control lasts.
