Sisters of Battle Inspiration That Made Us Want to Paint Better
Sometimes all it takes is one post to completely derail our painting plans in the best possible way.
Wilini dropped an Instagram link on the chat and the reaction was immediate: this was seriously good work. A finished Adepta Sororitas squad, full of character, atmosphere, and that very specific Sisters of Battle energy that makes us want to immediately grab brushes and start experimenting.
What really got us here is that this is not just “clean painting”. It is the kind of paint job that makes you stop scrolling and think: okay, how did they actually do that? Wilini summed it up perfectly — amazing work, and maybe even worth checking out this guy’s tutorial if there is one to follow.
That is probably the most relatable hobby feeling possible. First comes admiration, then a bit of disbelief, and then the dangerous thought: maybe we should try this ourselves.

Posts like this are one of our favorite parts of the hobby loop. We see a great unit, get motivated, start thinking about techniques, and suddenly future painting plans become a lot more ambitious. Even if we do not copy a scheme directly, there is always something to steal in the best possible hobby sense — contrast, glow, cloth, armor tones, basing ideas, or just the overall confidence of the finish.
And honestly, Adepta Sororitas are perfect for that kind of inspiration. There is so much going on in every model: armor panels, robes, metallic details, iconography, purity seals. When someone pulls it all together well, it feels properly impressive.
So yes — this one definitely landed on our “come back to this when we need motivation” list. And if Wilini really does dive into that tutorial route, we are very curious what ends up making it onto the painting desk afterward.
