Weekend Loot Hunt at eFigurek
We had one of those very familiar hobby moments this weekend: someone drops a message about a sale, everyone immediately starts thinking about old metal miniatures, half-finished armies, and “just one more bargain”.
Michał asked if anyone was heading to the eFigurek sale, and for a brief moment it looked like we might have a proper group expedition. In the end, it turned into more of a fast strike mission. The sale was only running for the weekend, and in practice only until 14:00 that day, so there was no time for elaborate planning.
Wilini declared the most relatable possible stance: happily staying at home, but absolutely open to being pinged if anything interesting from Bretonnia or the Templars turned up. End3r was also interested, but mostly in the “not today, but generally this is exactly the kind of opportunity we should be watching” sense.
And then Michał went in.
According to his report from the field, he came back with:
- two Imperial cannons with crew
- a 5th edition Banshee
- 20 Empire troopers
- a small Gargant
Which is, honestly, a very respectable haul for a limited-time rummage sale. Also, his summary of the atmosphere was perfect: he said he felt like an addict on Omonia. If you’ve ever dug through piles of second-hand hobby treasure while your brain is screaming that every old blister pack is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you know exactly what he meant.

Later on, Michał shared some closer shots of the individual pieces. And yes, this is exactly the sort of post that makes the rest of us start mentally reorganising army lists around random old finds.
End3r’s reaction summed it up nicely: wow, not bad and later simply nice. Hard to argue with that.
This kind of purchase run is a big part of the charm of the hobby for us. Not every exciting hobby day is about finishing an army or playing a game. Sometimes it’s about spotting a short-lived sale, diving into a pile of history, and coming back with a weirdly satisfying mix of Empire, undead, and giant nonsense.
Now the real question is what gets cleaned, rebased, and painted first.
