Blood Angels debut: 9th place and a 2:1 finish
We love these little hobby milestones, especially when a new army starts to click on the tabletop.
This time, end3r took his Angels to a tournament and came back with a result that definitely put a smile on our faces: 2 wins and 1 loss, finishing 9th out of 22 players.
That one loss came against the Polish Champion, so there is absolutely no shame there. As end3r put it, he got steamrolled and the game ended in a brutal 21:7. Still, going 2:1 with a force that is clearly becoming more and more fun to play is a very solid outing.
“I’m already starting to like the Angels — I went 2:1 with them at the tournament. That one loss was against the Polish Champion; he rolled over me like a steamroller and scored a max 21:7. But even so, 9th place out of 22, so pretty good.”
And honestly, we agree — pretty good is underselling it a bit. A positive record, a top-half finish, and a hard lesson from a top player? That sounds like a great tournament day to us.
Right after the event, Michał dropped a quick “grats”, which really sums up the mood in our chat. Sometimes that is all that needs to be said.
