Titan Forge’s Ursa Empire: Kislev Proxies We Instantly Fell For
We had one of those very dangerous hobby moments recently: a casual link, a quick look, and suddenly we were already mentally planning future prints.
Michał stumbled onto the Polish company Titan Forge, who make proxy miniatures for pretty much everything — from Warhammer: The Old World and Age of Sigmar to The Lord of the Rings-style fantasy and Warhammer 40k. As usual with ranges this broad, some sculpts hit us more than others, but then he found their Ursa Empire line.
Which is, let’s be honest, basically their take on Kislev.
And honestly? Some of it looks really good.
Zagloba caught our eye first
The first model Michał posted was a hero called Zagloba. The sculpt has a lot of character and immediately reads as that very specific old-world, eastern-inspired fantasy vibe we’d want from a Kislev-adjacent range.
Michał’s verdict was that the model looks cool, although for his taste he’s a bit too skinny. Fair enough — sometimes a sculpt can be great overall and still miss that one detail we want from a grizzled battlefield legend.
Then came the bear cavalry
And then things escalated.
Titan Forge also have monstrous cavalry in the range, and this is where the conversation took a very predictable turn: winged hussar energy, but on bears. There are some concepts that are simply too strong to ignore, and this is absolutely one of them.
We don’t even need to over-explain why this works. If someone says “Kislev proxies” and then follows it up with “bear-mounted elite cavalry,” we’re already interested.
The absolute winner: their “Kislev dragon” interpretation
But the model that really blew Michał away was Titan Forge’s interpretation of a Kislevite dragon concept — which, in their version, turns into something much more delightfully Slavic and weird.
Instead of a standard dragon, we get Marshal Tvardovsky on Cockatrice.
And yes, that name alone already does a lot of the work.
This one got the strongest reaction in the chat by far, and honestly we get it. It’s such a fun idea, and it has exactly the kind of over-the-top character we love seeing in fantasy ranges that aren’t afraid to lean into local flavor.
And because this one deserves extra attention, here it is again — still absurd, still brilliant:
So… are we buying these?
For now, this is still in the future hobby plans category rather than an immediate order. Michał said that once he finishes painting everything and starts properly completing his Kislev collection, he’ll probably print models from this range.
Which sounds extremely reasonable, and also exactly like the kind of statement that usually precedes us acquiring more miniatures than planned.

If you’re building something for Warhammer: The Old World, especially a Kislev-flavored force, Titan Forge’s Ursa Empire looks like a range worth checking out. Not every sculpt will be for everyone, but the best pieces here have a ton of personality, and a couple of them are the kind of models that instantly make us want to start a project we absolutely did not schedule.
