Building a 2500-Point Salamanders Army for Firestorm Assault Force
We love seeing a force come together when it already has a very clear identity, and this one absolutely does. end3r shared his Salamanders collection built around the Firestorm Assault Force, and it is exactly the kind of list we enjoy: lots of flame, lots of short-range pressure, and plenty of very on-theme Space Marines.
This is a 2500-point Adeptus Astartes army with a strong Salamanders character core and a lot of units that naturally fit the chapter’s style.

Why we like this list
The first thing that jumps out is how committed this army is to the Salamanders theme. There is no pretending here: this is a force that wants to get close and set everything on fire.
Three full Infernus Squads immediately define the army. On top of that, there are Aggressors, Eradicators, and a Land Raider Redeemer, so the whole list feels like it was built around pressure, heat, and brutal mid-board presence. That is exactly the kind of thing we want to see from Salamanders.
The named characters also help sell the idea perfectly. Adrax Agatone and Vulkan He’stan make this feel like a proper chapter-themed collection rather than just a generic Space Marine pile with green paint.
A lot of bodies, a lot of threat
At 2500 points, this army has enough room to bring both thematic units and practical tools.
There is a nice spread here:
- frontline pressure from Assault Intercessors, Bladeguard, and Infernus Marines
- ranged anti-elite and anti-tank support from Eradicators and Hellblasters
- utility and board control from Infiltrators and Reivers
- a tougher anvil element with Terminators and the Land Raider Redeemer
- some mobility from the Impulsor and Invader ATVs
What we especially enjoy is that this does not look like a list built only for efficiency. It looks like an army collected because the owner likes Salamanders, likes flame weapons, and wants the table to reflect that.
The collection is actually even bigger
A fun detail from end3r is that the list is not the whole story. Outside the 2500-point roster, he also has:
- 10 more Infernus Marines
- 2 more Adrax Agatone models
- and one more Vulkan He’stan from a print
That is honestly very relatable hobby energy. Sometimes we build a list, and sometimes we just keep acquiring the cool stuff that fits the army identity.
Extra Infernus Marines in particular feel very on-brand here. If your Salamanders collection can still grow in the direction of “more fire,” that sounds completely correct to us.
Our overall impression
We really like this force as an army-building project because it already feels coherent. It has:
- a strong chapter identity
- a clear detachment choice
- iconic Salamanders characters
- a lot of overlapping short-range threats
- enough variety to avoid feeling one-note
Most importantly, it feels personal. This is not just a copied netlist dropped into an app. It looks like end3r’s Salamanders army, and that is always the most interesting kind of collection.
If we were putting this on the shelf or on the table, we would immediately know what it is supposed to be: a wall of green ceramite, flame, melta, and close-range aggression.
And really, for Salamanders, that is exactly where we want to be.
