Salamanders Angels of Death Kill Team Finished at Last
There is always that one project that feels like it takes forever, even when the model count really should not be that scary. This time, end3r finally crossed the finish line with his Angels of Death Kill Team painted as Salamanders, and honestly, we are a little bit celebrating with him.
“100% completed” is one of the most satisfying hobby updates to post.

According to end3r, it felt like he had been painting them for half a year. We know that feeling very well: a compact elite team somehow turns into a marathon because every marine invites “just one more detail”. And with Salamanders, that rich green armor, clean details, and chapter character really reward taking the extra time.

That also led to one very relatable conclusion: if a Kill Team can feel this intense, then painting a full block of 32 dwarfs at the same level sounds like a serious endurance test. We absolutely get it.
The final touch that really pulled the whole team together was the shoulder transfers. Sometimes decals are exactly the thing that takes a unit from “painted” to “finished”, and that was definitely the case here. As wilini put it, with the decals they look properly elegant now.

Big congrats from us to end3r for getting them over the line — and also a nod to michalbe for the well-earned congratulations, plus thanks for the models that helped make the project happen in the first place.
Of course, no hobby victory lasts long before the next plan appears. In true fashion, the celebration barely had time to settle before end3r declared it was time to move on to Squats for Necromunda. So the painting desk is not getting much rest.
And honestly? That is exactly how we like it.
