Necromunda Hulls Slowly Taking Shape
We love these little hobby updates that are basically just: yep, progress is happening.
This time end3r dropped a few work-in-progress shots of some Necromunda bodies, and they really are at that satisfying stage where the miniatures stop looking like random bits and start looking like an actual gang in the making.
“The hulls are slowly starting to look the part.”
That feels very relatable. There’s always this awkward middle phase in painting and assembly where a model is technically progressing, but still looks a bit unfinished and strange. Then suddenly a bit more color, a bit more definition, and it all starts to click.
A day later came the obvious next step:
“These bodies could use some weapons.”
Honestly, fair. In Necromunda, a ganger without weapons always looks a little too peaceful for the underhive.
And then: more progress.
“Slowly moving forward.”
That’s the hobby in one sentence, isn’t it? Not every session ends with a finished unit or a big reveal. Sometimes it’s just another layer, another detail, another evening of nudging things closer to done.
One thing that immediately caught our attention was the bases. Michał pointed it out right away — they’ve got a really nice 3D depth to them, much deeper than the usual flat base treatment.
As end3r explained, they’re Necromunda-style bases, but these particular ones are from a printed project where the creator made them even taller/deeper than the originals. It gives the minis a really cool industrial feel, and it fits the setting perfectly. That extra height makes them stand out in a great way and adds a lot of character even before the whole gang is fully armed and finished.
We’re definitely curious to see what these look like once the weapons are in place and the whole set comes together. Even at this stage, though, they already have that gritty underhive vibe.
