A Small Correction, and a Big Laugh After the Bloody River
Sometimes the best post-battle follow-up is not a deep tactical breakdown, but a quick correction and an honest admission of how the game really went.
After the publication of the battle report “Dente di Leopardo Holds the Bloody River”, Stas dropped in with kind words first:
“Beautiful report, thank you!”
…and then immediately did what every good gaming buddy should do — spotted a typo:
“I only ask for one correction: 768 to 786 :)”
That kind of detail-catching is exactly why it is good to share reports quickly and let the rest of the group look them over after the fact.
Right after that, Michał linked the published article and attached a screenshot, which we are absolutely including here for completeness.
And then came the true post-game summary from Stas — brutally honest, short, and very funny:
“Unfortunately: I wanted to screw René, but René screwed me instead.”
Honestly, that is the kind of one-line battle report conclusion we love. No pretending the plan was solid. No hiding behind dice. Just a clean admission that whatever was supposed to happen on the table… happened the other way around.
That is also why we enjoy these reports so much. They preserve not only the scenario, the score, and the army movements, but also the emotions around the game: confidence before deployment, hope during the key turns, and then that moment when your opponent turns everything around and leaves you laughing at your own brilliant plan.
So yes — the number should be corrected from 768 to 786. And yes — René apparently got the better end of that exchange.
