A Squat Nearly Ready and a Handy BattleHub Reminder
We had one of those very hobby-shaped chat moments: a quick logistics note, a local event reminder, and then a painting progress update that immediately made us want to get back to the desk.
End3r dropped a useful heads-up that BattleHub is the place where the Kill Team maneuvers are happening, and for us that also came with a very practical conclusion: Mokotów is still closer than Legionowo. Always good when hobby plans line up with actual geography.

There was also a note that this came from a Necromunda PL post, so naturally our brains immediately went into that familiar mode of connecting events, systems, and excuses to visit another hobby venue.
And then the real painting update landed: End3r is getting very close to finishing the first Squat. It is not a huge checklist anymore either — just a few final touches left before the model is fully done.
According to the update, the Squat still needs:
- the eyes finished,
- highlights on the helmet,
- some Nuln on the metallics,
- a few small corrections where the brush went over the lines,
- and finally a matte varnish.
That is a very relatable stage of painting. The model already looks like it is basically there, but those last 5% are always their own little campaign. Also, “only three weapons and two heads so far” is exactly the kind of slow-but-steady progress we respect — bit by bit, and suddenly there is a finished miniature on the table.

We really like this phase of a project: the point where the miniature is already clearly taking shape, and the remaining work is all about sharpening the final look. Eyes, edge highlights, a wash on metallics, tiny cleanup, varnish — small things individually, but together they are what pushes a model from “painted” to “finished”.
If End3r keeps the momentum going, that first Squat should be fully ready very soon. And honestly, seeing updates like this makes us want to check our own desks and ask the dangerous question: what is our version of “it only needs a few tiny fixes” right now?
