Late-Night Movement Tray Shopping
We love those tiny hobby purchases that suddenly make an army feel much more real. This time it was movement trays.
Pegie dropped into chat with the kind of message that tells you a hobby problem has just been solved by force: now let the bastard try not to fit. Along with that came a photo of the freshly matched piece, and honestly, that is exactly the kind of victory we respect.
As it turned out, this was only the beginning. During the night, Pegie had also ordered a batch of movement trays, quietly, because it was late and he wanted to make sure they would actually arrive before the weekend. A very responsible approach by the standards of our group, although naturally it was immediately mocked.
Michał pointed out the obvious contradiction: apparently sending Warhammer trivia links at 4 in the morning is completely normal, but messaging the group about tray orders would somehow be too late. Fair enough.
The best part is that Pegie grabbed extra trays, especially some bigger ones, so anyone who needs something should be able to pick from the surplus. End3r was immediately interested, because otherwise the models would be running around “like animals” on their own legs. Which, to be fair, is a pretty good summary of what ranked units look like before proper movement trays enter the picture.
There was also a brief clarification that Paweł — or rather Andrzej, as Wilini corrected with great precision — already has trays, and also definitely would not have replied at 4 AM anyway. So in the end, the order was placed exactly as expected: without giving people much chance to object, but very much in the collective spirit.
The next morning Pegie shared a screenshot showing he was indeed close to guessing who would still be awake and who absolutely would not.
So yes: trays acquired, extras secured, and there is a good chance a few of us will soon stop pushing ranked infantry around in the least elegant way possible. That counts as a successful purchase in our book.
