A Big Necromunda Campaign Is Coming to Warsaw
We’ve just caught wind of something that sounds very, very exciting for the local Warhammer scene: a large Necromunda campaign planned across Warsaw, coordinated by crews from Legionowo, Xjoy, MGC, and maybe also 2D6.
From the description, it sounds like this won’t be just a simple league or a few casual linked games. The whole thing is supposed to have a bigger, more immersive format — with interactive maps, extra campaign features, and plenty of attractions built around it. Honestly, that immediately got our attention.
For us, one of the most fun parts of these bigger community events is seeing hobby and narrative play meet in the middle. When a campaign goes beyond “just play your next match” and starts building a shared story space, it becomes much easier to really get invested in your gang, your territory, and all the little disasters and victories along the way.
In this case, end3r is already feeling the pressure in the best possible way — because if the campaign really launches in June, then it’s time to push forward with the Squats.
There’s something wonderfully motivating about a looming campaign deadline. Suddenly every unfinished model starts staring at us from the shelf a little more intensely than usual.
At the same time, the whole idea reminded us a bit of what michalbe has been preparing on the fantasy side for Warhammer: The Old World — that same kind of bigger, more interactive campaign energy, with maps and extra bells and whistles to make the whole thing feel like an event rather than just a set of pairings.
Michał said the Necromunda project sounds great, but also very realistically added that before jumping into another system, there are a few things to finish first: painting all the Old World armies for the campaign, and then also getting things ready for Mordheim. Only after that will the plan be to try putting together a Necromunda gang of his own.
And honestly? That feels extremely relatable.
This is exactly how these things usually happen in our hobby group: one exciting campaign appears on the horizon, and suddenly it starts a chain reaction. First it’s “that sounds cool,” then “maybe someday,” then “okay, but first I need to finish these three other projects,” and before long there’s another gang, warband, or army quietly forming on the painting desk.
So right now, our immediate takeaway is simple:
- a big Warsaw-wide Necromunda campaign may be starting in June,
- it’s being coordinated by several local groups,
- it sounds ambitious and narrative-driven,
- and it has already started generating hobby momentum on our side.
We’re definitely curious to see how this develops. If it comes together the way it sounds, it could be a really cool example of local clubs and communities building something larger together — the kind of event that gets people painting faster, planning gangs, and talking campaign nonsense long before the first dice are rolled.
For now, that means one thing: Squats need paint.
